This follows Anthony’s revelation that Cain had been sleeping with Ruby. A desperate Anthony had shared Ruby’s dirty little secret as vengeful Caleb threatened him with a gun. This came after Caleb learned that Anthony had raped her as a teenager – and was Steph’s biological father. Facing the barrel of the gun and an angry Caleb, Anthony tried to talk his way out of a bullet. It was then that he told Caleb about Ruby’s affair, in a last-ditch attempt to discredit his traumatised daughter. Caleb demands answers (Credit: ITV) Caleb was initially disbelieving, but something about Anthony’s words clearly rang true, and he’s struggled to let go of those nagging doubts ever since. As it happens, Anthony was telling the truth for once – Ruby did sleep with Cain, to both parties’ huge regret.
