Emmerdale star Lucy Pargeter has described her devastation at the, well, devastation, left in the wake of storm Herminia. The storm is currently wreaking havoc across the UK.

Herminia – named by meteorologists in Spain – brought gusts of 84mph and almost 60mm of rainfall in parts of England on Monday. A yellow weather warning has been issued for rain in South Wales, which will remain in place until 9pm tonight (Tuesday, January 28).

Meanwhile, the Chastity Dingle star, 47, shared a snap from the wake of the recent storms, which saw a beloved tree collapse in what appears to be her garden.

In the comments below, fans sympathised with Lucy’s loss. Meanwhile, many suggested that she turn the tragedy into something positive.

“Absolutely, however turn it into a positive. Make something wonderful out of the wood. Perhaps a bench or something in the garden so you can still admire its beauty,” wrote one follower.

“Could you get something made from the wood, then plant a sapling? I hope there was no damage to your home,” said another.

“Trun [sic] it into a table and bench make it live on through something positive ❤️” said a third.
