Emmerdale's Jai serious

In Emmerdale, Jai’s busy sticking his nose into places that he clearly isn’t wanted, but is he in major trouble?

He’s certain that his Depot colleagues Steph and Caleb are hiding something concerning Anthony (and he’s bang on the money).

But, will this land him in danger? Here are 4 ‘clues’ that hint of Jai’s end in the Dales…

Emmerdale: Is Jai in trouble? 1. Suspicions

A really key ‘clue’ is that Jai is currently desperate to find out just what Caleb and his family are hiding.

After their previous feud in which Caleb conned him out of their original deal as business partners, Jai’s always been less than satisfied with his position in the business’ pecking order.

Now, he’s noticed that Steph and Caleb are on edge whenever Anthony is mentioned… And, with the ‘Anthony murder club’ desperate to keep their secret quiet, will they murder Jai to silence him if he gets too close to the truth?

2. No family ties

There was a time when the Sharma family were a really core part of the village. But, over the years, all of that Sharma drama has fizzled out.

Jai’s not got Priya or Nikhil by his side, and let’s not even bring the topic of poor Rishi up because we fear we’ll start sobbing all over again at his death.

There’s no longer the confectionary empire to keep Jai busy either, so really he’s not got much going for him in the village other than his son being there (coming to think of it though, where IS Archie?)

Emmerdale: Is Jai in trouble? 3. Relationship breakdown

Jai and Laurel were a strong couple before they… completely broke into smithereens with no hope of a reconciliation.

We were totally Team Laurel throughout the split, with Jai stooping to new lows just to get one back at his ex partner.

But, with all of Jai’s former lovers having moved on in the village… or the afterlife (RIP Leyla), there are no signs of a new love interest on the cards for Jai.

So, really, not many will miss him if he chooses to leave? Or, if he’s bumped off…

4. Flash-forwards

Remember those flash-forwards at the start of the New Year? One was of Caleb flatlining

But, could Caleb’s situation have anything to do with a potential showdown with Jai? And, if Caleb’s in such a bad state, what happened to the other guy?

And then there was that body bag being thrown into the lake… Whilst all ‘clues’ point to this being Nate, what if Jai is set to meet a similar fate, and the flash-forward was actually showing his body being disposed?
