A new Emmerdale fan theory has predicted that Joe Tate will die in a twist to his scheme to steal an organ from Caleb. With Joe having confirmed that Caleb is a match for the kidney transplant he needs to save his life, his plot is going full steam ahead to get Caleb.

Bad news for Caleb, who is now unaware that he has a date with Joe’s surgeon’s knife. And, with a flash-forward still to play out – depicting Caleb flatlining on a surgeon’s table – there’s a very real possibility that he could die.

However, a new fan theory has predicted that Caleb will survive… while Joe meets his own end instead.

Joe to die during organ transplant, Emmerdale fan predicts

Writing on a Reddit thread, one fan weighed in on the debate as to whether Caleb dies this month. And this viewer predicted that Joe might die instead of Caleb.

“I don’t think he does die. I think Joe dies as a twist. Joe’s return has been a flop,” they wrote.

“I agree about Joe’s return it has been a huge flop. So I wonder once everything comes out about what Joe did taking Caleb kidney also being responsible for 3 deaths by spiking Noah, then you know Billy will find out about Dawn having a affair with Joe a lot of people will want Joe dead will he be murdered?” asked another, predicting that he might survive surgery… only to be murdered afterwards.

Emmerdale spoilers for this week: Caleb in danger as Joe strikes

Joe’s story escalates this week as he finally makes his move on Caleb. As the week begins, he’s acting very shiftily and suddenly ends things with Dawn.

Later, he and Dr Crowley and Joe meeting in a lay-by to iron out the final details for tomorrow’s operation. When Ross knocks on their car window, Doctor Crowley tells Joe that he’ll have to postpone unless he can get rid of Ross.

Soon after, Ross receives an alarming phone call telling him that his brother Pete has been attacked. As Ross rushes away, the path is clear for Caleb’s operation.

The next day, Joe is frustrated when he fails to drug Caleb through an accomplice. Instead, he orders a thug to stab Caleb and steal his car. Joe then takes Caleb to a private surgery where Doctor Crowley is waiting.

Noting the severeness of Caleb’s injuries, Doctor Crowley baulks, worrying that he’ll be unable to save Caleb. With Caleb bleeding out on the hospital table, the doctor attempts to save Caleb and perform the transplant.

Will Caleb pull through?
