Ella confessed… then changed her mind
In Emmerdale Thursday, April 3), Ella Forster was finally arrested after attacking Liam, but is she guilty of the crimes she’s been accused of?
Elsewhere, Brenda finally told Eric that she is leaving for a round the world cruise.

Mandy was held at knifepoint in Emmerdale
After Chas and Mandy chatted about Ella’s whereabouts, Mandy was surprised to find Liam’s door unlocked. Inside she found Ella, who was determined to talk to Liam Cavanagh.
“Chas has taken everything from me. My job, my home, my friends,” Ella shouted, before insisting she had to make Liam see the truth.
Ella denied drugging Chas, throwing the brick through the pub window and attempting to cancel Chas and Liam’s wedding. Ella insisted it was all Chas, trying to set her up. Mandy refused to believe Ella, believing Ella to be delusional.
When Mandy demanded Ella leave, Ella grabbed a knife and ordered Mandy to call Liam. A scared Mandy did as she was asked. When Liam arrived, Ella said Mandy could leave.
Ella confessed… then took it back
As Mandy run to tell Chas and call the police, Ella continued to act crazy, telling Liam that they should be together.
Liam pretended to take pity on Ella and said there was no judgement from him over her behaviour as he was as much to blame.
Believing a confession would make Liam take her back, Ella admitted to drugging Chas.
When she realised it had been a set up and that Liam didn’t want to be with her, she changed her story. She told Liam she only confessed to prove her love for him, but she didn’t actually do it. What is the truth?
Ella was arrested
Upon discovering the police were on their way, Ella legged it. Liam chased her, but he’s clearly not a fit doctor given how long it took him to catch her.
In the woods, Ella continued to behave erratically. As Liam tried to calm Ella down, a tussle ensued and Liam fell to the ground, banging his head.
Fortunately he was fine and soon opened his eyes. Liam told Ella she needed help and that she couldn’t keep running away from herself as she is still the same person inside. Ella suddenly had a realisation and said: “Ruth, that’s who I am. She’ll always be there. She’s in my DNA.”
As the police arrived, Ella once again insisted that she didn’t drug Chas. And later, while Chas said she was glad to finally be rid of Ella, Liam looked deep in thought. Does he believe Ella?
Brenda had bad news for Pollard in Emmerdale
Brenda discussed the cruise with Jacob and mentioned visiting granddaughter Molly in Canada. When Jacob suggested Brenda could go back there for a longer stint after the cruise, Brenda was hesitant at the thought of leaving Eric for that long.
Jacob told Brenda not to worry about Pollard, as they weren’t together any more and she deserved some freedom now – we sense this is just planting the seeds for her permanent exit.
Later, Pollard was excited about meeting with Brenda, believing she was coming to tell him that she wanted them to get back together.
Pollard was devastated, but Brenda insisted he must call her if he had a turn and she’d come rushing back. But is this the end for Brenda and Eric?
Meanwhile, Cathy was also nervous about going on the cruise with Brenda for three months and leaving her dad Bob. While Jimmy believed Nicola was going to use it as an opportunity to try get the cruise for herself again, Nicola shocked everyone when she convinced Cathy to go.
Jacob tried to get back with Sarah
Gabby invited Jacob to join her and Vinny for lunch, but things soon turned awkward when Vinny arrived with Sarah and Kammy in tow.
Later, Gabby and Vinny apologised to Jacob for putting him in that situation. But Gabby could tell that Jacob still had feelings for Sarah and she encouraged him to go tell her the truth.
Taking the advice, Jacob went to see Sarah at the garage. As Sarah snapped “I’ve got Fanconi anaemia, Jacob. That’s never gonna change,” Jacob insisted that he wouldn’t let that come between them again.
Sarah insisted it was too late, and she later told Cain that Kammy was exactly what she needed right now. But does she still have feelings for Jacob?
Elsewhere in Emmerdale
Caleb returned home from hospital. As Cain and Chas arrived, things were at first awkward between the brothers. But later the two managed to bond.
Caleb admitted to Cain that being that close to death has really affected his outlook on life. Both men promised that’d step up for the other’s family if anything happened to either of them. Cute.
