Charity escaped her secret being blown

Kerry went to see Mack to show him pictures of Reuben opening his Christmas presents. She found a note pushed through the letterbox on the way out and left it on the table. It was of course the incriminating note John wrote.

Moira later called Mack to go and find the bull that had gone walkabout. Charity was unhappy, but Mack had to go. Fortunately for Charity she was free to tidy up and she came across the note. Able to hide it just as Mack got home, Charity breathed a sigh of relief – but also called Vanessa accusing her of sending it.

Ray gave up on Marlon in Emmerdale this Boxing Day

Marlon had managed to scrape together £1900 for Ray’s next payment. He was worried sick when Ray told him he was now off the hook for the payments every week. What was Ray up to?

Meanwhile, Jimmy was pretty smitten with Ray – maybe more so than Laurel – but he let slip to Celia where Ray had really spent Christmas Day. Celia was furious and tore a strip off both Ray and Laurel in The Hide.

Back at home, Marlon and Rhona were suspicious over Ray’s actions. They dared to dream Ray and Celia were leaving and they would be free from them.

But April was meeting with Ray promising she would do what he wanted to save his family. Ray told her they were leaving New Year’s Day, shocking her that it was so soon. He gave her a new burner phone and told her to be ready.
