As April and Dylan celebrated what they thought was them breaking free, Dawn was bowled over by Joe’s idea in Emmerdale tonight. Meanwhile, Robert got a shock as he lied to Aaron about where he was going.

Dawn felt conflicted

The school gave Dawn a ticking off and talked about fines as Clemmie is still off school. Dawn was fuming with their lack of compassion of the situation.

It gave Joe the opportunity to again suggest a private school for Clemmie where she could start afresh. But of course Billy is not on board with that and Dawn isn’t sure either.

But as she tried to talk to Joe about her past, he shut down and refused to engage. Worried he was ashamed of her, Dawn was even more conflicted. Has this opened up a whole can of worms that could destroy her relationship?

Kev made his big announcement in Emmerdale tonight

Robert continued to juggle his double lives, lying to Aaron he couldn’t go on Liv’s memorial walk due to having to see his parole officer. In fact he was off to prison to see his secret husband Kev.

And Kev had some rather surprising news for Robert: he is being released permanently. Apparently he is no threat to anyone (debatable if you’re Aaron, but hey) and as he only has six months left to live they want to give his cell to someone else.

Result for Kev. Not so much for Robert.

Fortunately Kev isn’t allowed to live with Robert, he is part of an outreach programme and will be staying with Charles and Claudette. But how on earth is Robert going to keep this from Aaron now?

Cain apologised

Liam brought Cain back to earth with a cold can of water and some words of advice. Cain realised what a moron he’d been and headed off to apologise to everyone.

It took a while, particularly with Kyle, but everyone seemed to forgive him. But how long will it take him to forgive himself for Nate’s death?
