Now, I love a good mystery in Soapland, but sometimes they can go on too long – and the reveal of Nate’s body has gone on long enough.

Where is Nate’s body in Emmerdale?

To recap: we always thought something was amiss with Nate Robinson’s exit from the soap; he just disappeared. It felt off. And lo and behold we were absolutely right when it was revealed Nate was in fact in the lake. He had never made it to Shetland at all and was dead and no one knew.

Well, one person knew: John Sugden. At the time we didn’t know it was John, though we definitely had our suspicions. However it has since been confirmed he did it. It was an accident – he had meant to save him, but Nate had had a bad reaction and things went very wrong. John disposed of his body in the lake and has been doing all he can to stop him being found.

When the limo lake crash happened and Amy went under the water, she spotted Nate’s hand. In her dying breaths she said the name ‘Nate’ to Matty. Just as we hoped this would lead to the discovery of Nate, Matty seems to have forgotten all about it and done nothing.

Move things on!

But now, now the lake is being dredged – surely there’s no way John can stop that? Please, Emmerdale, I beg you, don’t drag this out any longer and give us Nate’s body.

It’s time.

We have seen John go to great lengths to stop anyone searching for Nate, but now we need to see him going to great lengths to cover it up once Nate’s body has been found.

With John and Aaron’s wedding nearly upon us, I implore you Emmerdale, make sure we have Nate’s body discovered before then or you are at risk of losing my attention. And that of many viewers too.
