Cain and Tracy are going to team up to find Nate’s killer. Cain declined John’s help insisting he and Trace would do this alone – is he finally suspicious of him?

Later, Cain told Mandy he wasn’t sure where to start, but she assured him he would do whatever it took.

Paddy still scared – and where’s Bear in Emmerdale tonight?

Paddy was still avoiding what happened yesterday and Mandy insisted he talk to her. He told her he was scared of dogs and is worried he can’t carry on being a vet.

Later, though, Paddy managed to sit with Chip and not feel scared. He confided in Vinny how he’d been feeling over the attack and Bear’s hurtful words.

Vinny tried to encourage Paddy to contact Bear, but Paddy was sure Bear had meant every word and was having the time of his life in Ireland, not needing his son.

However we then saw Bear who was in the middle of nowhere, all alone, and trying to compose an apology message to Paddy. But he never sent it. What’s going on?

Kim’s big plans

Kim told Joe what her big project was: she wants to buy all the surrounding land to build the biggest farm in North Yorkshire.

She’s also heard word the land will soon change from agricultural use to commercial and she wants to be ready to cash in. She and Joe are going to make sure the Tate legacy lives on.

She’s forgiven him, then?!

Jacob was looking up surrogacy and Pollard caught him, so Jacob confessed Charity was going to carry his and Sarah’s baby.

Eric then told Kerry and they tried to talk to him about how insane this idea was. But Jacob stayed firm – he and Sarah were having a child and he was prepared to be a dad.
