There was plenty more drama in Emmerdale tonight when Pollard found out about Jacob’s proposal and Robert went to the police.

Engagement news spread

Sarah and Jacob decided to break the news to Pollard they were engaged. Kammy found out first and was thrilled for them! But of course Eric was not.

Sarah argued her case, but Pollard was worried about her dying and didn’t want Jacob to be heartbroken. Comparing their time together to Eric and Val’s eight-year marriage, it got Pollard to thinking.

Victoria then found out and was taken aback that her ex was engaged to her niece. She put on a brave face and offered to buy them a congratulatory drink.

Eric later turned up and congratulated them at the pub. He apologised and wished them well. But does he really mean it?

Robert was fobbed off in Emmerdale tonight

Robert went to the police telling them all of his evidence proving Owen didn’t kill Nate. He told them to talk to John Sugden.

However the police – stupid as they are – weren’t interested. They thought Robert was wasting their time and clearly didn’t believe a word he was saying.

Steve did not back up Robert’s story and Liam Cavanagh told the police there was nothing out of order about John’s behaviour.

Robert was given an informal warning and sent away with his tail between his legs.

Where’s Detective Foy when you need him?!

Robert was later intrigued upon learning Jacob had nearly died after a coffee swap with John, but with Steve threatening him violently to leave things alone, will Robert continue to dig?

April is loving working at Take A Vow, but Marlon’s mention of school threw things slightly. April was honest and told him she was really enjoying working and has asked Belle to take her on as an apprentice.

But Marlon was not happy about it at all. He wanted her to do it part-time while going back to school. But April wasn’t interested and told him as much – she wasn’t asking permission, she was telling him. Ooh, get her!
