Moira’s drama wasn’t all that was happening in Emmerdale tonight as Robert tried to prove John was no good and Dylan returned with a secret.

Robert tried to get Chas on side

Robert was in the pub, chatting to Chas. He shared his opinions with her on how John was always involved in playing the hero and that it was suspicious.

Robert is the only one who is joining all the dots here and no one will listen to him! Chas dismissed him as jealous.

Later, Robert found John’s phone in the café and tried to unlock it. Annoyingly John returned for it before Robert could get access.

John then offloaded to Chas in the pub, who insisted once again Robert was just jealous. But he’s right, we wanted to scream!

Dylan returned in Emmerdale tonight

Laurel was hanging washing when she got the feeling she was being watched. And then she discovered Arthur’s tracksuit trousers had been stolen from the washing line!

She asked April if she’d seen anything weird, but April said she hadn’t. Although she soon knew exactly what was going on when she went to Donna’s grave and called for Dylan to come out.

As they caught up, April asked if rehab had worked. Dylan told her he wasn’t using and he was clean. But he also told her he had a job and a place to live. Turned out that place was the cricket pavillion – not the flat in Hotten he claimed.

And the job seems to be something that involves him breaking into Butlers and getting stabbed with a pitchfork. So what else has he lied about?

Charity felt overwhelmed

Jacob arrived with folic acid for Charity and he and Sarah fussed round her. Charity was clearly overwhelmed by their ideas to feed her nettle soup to help her keep healthy.

Sarah’s perky positivity was too full-on for Charity and she told her to go out and have some fun with Jacob.

All-the-while, Mack was sitting in the corner burying his own feelings. He tried to reassure Charity when she revealed she was scared she couldn’t fulfil Sarah’s wishes, but he failed to come clean about how he was feeling himself.
