While the focus was understandably on the John saga, theirs wasn’t the only hospital-based scenes in Emmerdale tonight.

Jacob decided to “treat” Charity and Sarah to an early scan of their baby. Sarah was understandably more excited about this than Charity.

Later, Ross saw the scan picture, but Sarah and Jacob didn’t notice his strange reaction.

Read on for our full recap of Emmerdale tonight.

Jacob surprised Sarah and Charity

After a mysterious phone call, Jacob informed Sarah and Charity that he had a surprise for the three of them.

They were then shown in the hospital, with it being revealed that Jacob’s “treat” was an early scan. “It’s about who you know,” he remarked, while Charity dryly said that she’d rather have had a trip to the beach.

As Sarah and Jacob oohed and aahed at the tiny dot on the screen, Charity looked visibly worried.

Ross reacted to baby scan in Emmerdale tonight

While Charity remained at the hospital to support Chas, Jacob and Sarah went back home. Ross dropped Moses home, with Sarah sharing information about Aaron and John’s accident.

Ross commented that it might be worth texting Mack again as that might make him come home.

He then noticed the scan picture. Knowing he could be the real father, Ross got a little emotional. But he quickly shrugged it off and pretended he didn’t see the point of a scan as it was just a blurry picture.

Paddy filled Victoria in on John’s phone call

At the store, Paddy bumped into Victoria. He asked if she’d spoken to Robert, but Victoria said she hadn’t really taken any notice of his ranting.

Paddy filled Victoria in on the help line and noticing how worried Paddy looked, Victoria insisted the two of them head straight to the cottage.

The pair got lost, but when an ambulance zoomed past, Victoria immediately knew it was linked to her brothers.
