Elsewhere, Dawn approached Belle with a business proposition. And, as he struggled with his declining health, Pollard took a tumble. Here’s everything that happened on Emmerdale tonight. Ruby decided to confess With John and Aaron off-grid on their honeymoon, the murder cover-up club panicked about the recently discovered body. They assumed (correctly) that this was John’s handiwork, and (incorrectly) leapt to the conclusion that he’d chucked Anthony’s body in there. Chas tried to subtly find out from Victoria where John and Aaron were… and was troubled to learn that she was planning on keeping in touch with recently-returned Robert. Victoria a bust, she collared PC Swirling for the latest gossip instead. He was quick to oblige, telling her that the body had been underwater for a few months. Back home, she shared the news with Caleb, Ruby and Cain. Ruby soon leapt to the conclusion that the police were coming her way – and was determined to confess. Caleb had a better idea, and suggested that they go on the run to Ireland instead. Realising that he wouldn’t be talked out of it, Ruby reluctantly agreed with the plan. Itinerary finalised, Caleb and Ruby bade a fond farewell to Chas and Caleb, before heading to bed. As he sloped off for an early night, Ruby slipped a note onto the kitchen counter and snuck off to the police station – where she promptly confessed to killing her father. Is there any way back for Ruby? Dawn had an idea At Home Farm, Joe had prepared a romantic breakfast for himself and Dawn. They were interrupted by Belle, who had come to talk weddings. This gave Joe food for thought, and he suggested to Dawn that they cut Take A Vow out of Home Farm weddings. Dawn, however, had a better idea. She caught up with Belle back in the village, offering her services as Take A Vow’s newest business partner. Belle was hesitant due to Joe’s involvement in the limo crash though, and made Dawn promise that the business wouldn’t be taking any money from the man who got Suzy and Leyla killed. As Belle and Dawn signed off the paperwork at Home Farm, he was keen to be involved. Once she’d left, he offered Dawn a loan for her stake in the business. Belle’s words ringing in her head, Dawn was conflicted. Will she take Joe’s cash regardless? Pollard suffered a fall Pollard snapped at Tracy as she fussed over him while he unpacked a delivery at the shop. Feeling condescended to, he snapped, sending her off to do a stock take with a flea in her ear. However, no sooner had Tracy gone, than he suffered a painful slip-up. She found him nursing the injury, but he wouldn’t be helped – and sent her away again. His indignation grew following a visit from Kerry, whose condescending attitude to his latest injury set him off again. Back at home, he was limping towards the staircase when his legs gave out and he collapsed – alone and helpless. April found a new study buddy In the cafe, April was struggling to revise for her GCSEs. Pulling up a pew, Ross attempted to help with her science work, but it was clear her heart wasn’t in it.
