Steph reports Terence to the police

Having found out about Terence’s court order to stay away from his wife, Betty encourages Steph to go to the police. She refuses, saying it’s no good.

Alan later quizzes Terence about the injunction and he insists he was simply fighting Janice off. Alan says people are too quick to condemn Terence, who is secretly furious.

He bumps into Betty and proceeds to threaten her, saying she may get a visit when she isn’t expecting it. Frightened, Betty calls the police and she tells them everything. She then tells Steph what happened and reveals that the police won’t look into her complaint unless Steph also reports Terrence. All eyes are on Steph as she picks up the phone and waits for the police to answer.

Terence arrives home to hear a knock at the door. Two officers from the child protection unit are waiting for him following the accusations made by Steph. Alan vents his frustration once the officers have left but remains supportive of Terence. Alan heads to the B&B to confront Steph and Adam, informing them he plans to take the B&B out of Steph’s management.

Meanwhile, Alan eyes up a bottle of whisky. Will he fall of the wagon?
