As John Sugden struggled with the weight of his guilt at Nate’s funeral, scenes laying Nate to rest brought a tear to our eyes. But then Kim Tate taking down Dr Crowley was Queen Kim at her finest. So let’s take a look at everything that happened in Emmerdale tonight. Tracy and Frankie were in some emotional scenes tonight (Credit: ITV) What was the music playing in Emmerdale’s opening scenes tonight? First things first, Emmerdale opened tonight no talking, just a beautiful classical piece playing over the top as Tracy, Cain and John got ready for Nate’s funeral. The music was an instrumental version of Say Something by Great Big World. It was hugely fitting and honoured the moments of silence as everyone struggled with what was coming in the day ahead. article continues below Read all the latest spoilers John played peacemaker in Emmerdale (Credit: ITV) Nate’s funeral brought arguments then peace as John almost cracked Cain was still adamant he was going to the funeral and nothing was stopping him. Meanwhile, Tracy was worried all eyes were going to be on her and that was only made worse when DS Walsh also turned up. As Nate’s body arrived at the church, the Dingles and their traditional drum procession followed him. An argument soon broke out as Nate’s mum, Cara insisted they weren’t welcome. But John stepped in and told them they needed to grow up. Eventually everyone agreed to grieve together. John the hero strikes again! However John then got a shock when Tracy asked him to do her eulogy. After Cain spoke about his son, John stood up, but was unable to read Tracy’s words. He stopped and just as it looked like John was about to crack (finally), he instead made an impassioned speech about forgiveness and pulling together. Everyone clapped, Aaron was full of pride, and John carried on keeping his secrets. Sigh. Tracy and Cain hugged and made up, which could be bad news for John (Credit: ITV) Vows to find Nate’s killer saw John rattled in Emmerdale tonight Amazingly, though, Tracy and Cain finally came together. They united to say a last goodbye to Nate and finally peace was restored. In the Woolpack later, they all shared memories of Nate – apparently he smelled really good and everyone was a bit obsessed with him. Weird how we’re finding out all this stuff about him now he’s dead. John clearly found all of this particularly uncomfortable to listen to. And when Tracy and Cain started talking about how to find out who did it, vowing to team up and find the killer, John was sweating so much it’s a wonder there wasn’t a paddling pool around his feet. Tracy and Cain (shall we call them Train?) are sure someone they know killed Nate. Cain insisted they would find out the truth – he was going to make it up to Nate and kill his murderer. Be afraid, John. Be very afraid. Yes, Queen Kim! (Credit: ITV) Kim proved she won’t be messed with Kim was worried about how distracted Joe was – wondering if it was about the failed solar investment. And she told him he could talk to her about anything. Joe almost confessed, but then starting talking about Graham and how much he misses him. As Kim laid it on thick about Graham and family, Joe reached for the syringe Crowley had given him. Next thing we saw, Joe had called Crowley over and Kim was paralysed on the bed. Crowley tried to get her password out of her. He threatened her with a scapal and she agreed to tell her her password was Ladyboss – LOVE IT. But as she whispered the rest of it, Crowley leaned in closer to hear her and Kim – not paralysed at all – stabbed him in the neck with the needle! Crowley begged Knifey Shaun to help him, but it turned out Shaun had switched sides as Joe and Kim paid better! Crowley threatened them that he had left information in a safety deposit box leading the police straight to Joe if anything happened to him. But Kim just demanded Shaun find out its location and promised Crowley if he ever messed with them again, they’d never find his body. Joe and Shaun then got rid of Crowley and Joe went to grovel to Kim. But Kim was not impressed with how far Joe let it go before he told her everything – can’t say we blame her. Can she really trust him? Paddy properly panicked? (Credit: ITV) Also in Emmerdale tonight… Charity still hasn’t told Mack about her plans to be Sarah’s surrogate. But it was full-steam ahead nonetheless. Sarah told Jacob about the offer, but Jacob was not keen at all. He felt it was all a bit too weird. But Sarah was adamant this was their best option. Jacob eventually agreed and they decided to have tests to see if it can happen. Elsewhere, Paddy was coping – just about – at the vets. But then a very boistrous dog came in barking and Paddy slammed the door shut, starting to panic. Vinny soon arrived at the surgery with Chip, but found the place completely shut up and silent.
