And so he suggested surrogacy. As Sarah now considers her future, spoilers reveal this is a path she will look to take. But who will be her surrogate and make her dream to become a mum a reality? Cain vowed to support Sarah now matter what (Credit: ITV) Sarah broke down over her baby dream in Emmerdale Desperate for a distraction after her emergency hysterectomy left her infertile, Sarah decided to go back to work on Thursday July 10. She was supposed to be resting, but needed to take her mind off never having a child of her own. Despite promising she would only do accounts, Sarah ended up going out for a drive with Gabby to diagnose what was wrong with her car. Only Gabby was on a starvation diet and fainted at the wheel due to low blood sugar. Sarah was forced to stop the car and drive them to hospital – something that left her in agony and needing surgery again. article continues below Read all the latest spoilers Cain rushed to see her and she finally broke down. She told Cain she hadn’t been scared of dying in the car because she had nothing to leave behind. Cain tried to assure her there was nore to life than kids. Sarah talked about how she had promised Granny Faith she would do all the things Faith hadn’t – see the world, dive the Great Barrier Reef, but that when she knew she was at the end all Faith had wanted was her kids. But Sarah can’t ever have that. She sobbed: “I’m going to die never knowing what it’s like to hold that little part of me in my arms.” Cain suggested adoption, but Sarah said she wanted the baby to be hers. So he suggested surrogacy. Charity was listening by this point and was horrified. But Cain told her he would do whatever it takes to give Sarah a baby, and Charity needed to get on board. Emmerdale spoilers show she throws everything into finding the perfect surrogate for Sarah. When the agencies prove to be a dead end, Charity homes in on Victoria and asks her to carry a baby for her niece. Vic struggles to take in the proposition (given she seems to have forgotten she’s related to Sarah, hardly surprising), but Charity pushes ahead, determined to convince her. Robert is also gobsmacked by the idea, but will he support it? Sarah is not happy that Charity went behind her back and approached Victoria without consulting her. But Cain has a solution when he finds an agency surrogate willing to help. However, things don’t go to plan when the surrogate doesn’t show up and it turns out Cain has been scammed. With Sarah ready to give up, knowing it’s hopeless, Charity steps up. She impulsively offers to be Sarah’s surrogate. Cain is stunned, especially as she decides not to tell husband Mackenzie Boyd. Sarah’s uncomfortable with the secrets, but will she accept Charity’s offer? And what does that mean for Charity and Mack’s future given she refused to have his baby? What else happened in Emmerdale tonight? Sarah's surrogacy drama wasn't the only, er, drama, happening in Emmerdale tonight! Joe gave up his fortune Well, some of it! It turned out Dr Crowley was behind Joe's torment and had him paralysed in a makeshift hospital room. Crowley wanted more money or he would cut the kidney back out of Joe and feed it to Shaun's dog. Nice. Joe seemed genuinely terrified as he screamed for help and no one heard him. Crowley told him to transfer the entire contents of his bank account or else and Joe eventually gave in. Shaun delivered Joe home, but is this the last we'll see of Crowley? Or will he keep coming back for more? (Hint, we suspect the latter!) Gabby was an idiot in Emmerdale tonight After starving herself for weeks to fit into her engagement dress (tip: just buy a bigger size!), Gabby opted for a quadruple black coffee instead of breakfast. It came after Lewis advised her it was a natural laxative and the best way to lose those last few pounds. But disaster struck as we now know when she was driving with Sarah in the car and fainted. At the hospital Gabby was told off for her diet as Laurel, Kim and Vinny came running to see her. But what was Vinny thinking after his little chat with Laurel earlier? Vinny went all in after Laurel's warning Laurel revealed to Vinny she'd overheard him talking to Kammy. He panicked and began stuttering, but it turned out she'd only heard the stuff about Liv. Phew. Or not so phew, because Laurel still thought that was big enough for him not to marry Gabby. Vinny tried to protest, but Laurel remained firm he mustn't go through with it if he was unsure at all. He even started opening up to Kammy... But when the call came from the hospital, Vinny put all doubts aside and pledged his love to Gabby forever and ever. Does he mean it though? Also in Emmerdale tonight... Tracy was fuming with Cain (when is she not?) for putting up posters about Nate's memorial. Apparently it had confused Frankie.
