John made another call to the helpline saying it was all closing in on him and he felt like he was losing control. But Liam walked in and John abruptly hung up. Liam confided his concerns about a particular patient. He said life hadn’t been kind to him and he had resorted to drink and drugs to cope. He hardly ever answers his door and he hardly ever locks it. Dr Cavanagh then said his name was Owen, which immediately rung a bell with John. And coincidentally, John then saw Owen had been put on his call-out list too and didn’t flag Claudette’s mistake. John took his pulse and it didn’t seem that there was one. He went to call 999, but then thought better of it, because a vile idea had come to him… Instead, John opened Owen’s laptop and began to type. But then Liam also turned up to do Owen’s call-out. John managed to get the chain on the door so Liam couldn’t get in. John then finished writing on the laptop and cleaned everything thoroughly before telling Owen: “Congratulations, you’re finally useful.” John played dumb back at the surgery and said he didn’t think Owen was home, so concerned Liam said he’d check on him tomorrow. Owen is dead and John’s used that to his advantage (Credit: ITV) John has framed Owen in Emmerdale We find out exactly what John had done next week when Liam goes back to Owen’s home and finds him dead. There is also a written confession on Owen’s laptop saying he was responsible for Nate’s death. DS Walsh then reveals the ‘suicide note’ to Tracy and Cain who struggle to disgest the information. John meanwhile manages to act shocked to perfection when Liam tells him everything that has happened. So has he got away with it? Robert has got John’s number (Credit: ITV) Robert is on to John One person who finds it all a bit too coincidental is Robert, who Owen had tried to spike. He is growing increasingly suspicious of John and when he sees DC Cole at the surgery he really wants to know what is going on. Claudette lets slip that John visited Owen at home shortly before he died and Robert knows something is not right here. He contacts Steve, Owen’s brother, and Steve reveals Owen couldn’t have done it as he had a solid alibi for the date Nate was killed. It’s enough to make Robert sure there is something big going on. He heads to the police station and tells them he has new information about Nate’s murder. But is he really on to him? Is the end of John finally in sight? What else happened in Emmerdale tonight? Other than the John drama, Emmerdale tonight delivered news on Bear and the truth about Kim's big project... John on the outer Cain and Tracy are going to team up to find Nate's killer. Cain declined John's help insisting he and Trace would do this alone - is he finally suspicious of him? Later, Cain told Mandy he wasn't sure where to start, but she assured him he would do whatever it took. Paddy still scared - and where's Bear in Emmerdale tonight? Paddy was still avoiding what happened yesterday and Mandy insisted he talk to her. He told her he was scared of dogs and is worried he can't carry on being a vet. Later, though, Paddy managed to sit with Chip and not feel scared. He confided in Vinny how he'd been feeling over the attack and Bear's hurtful words. Vinny tried to encourage Paddy to contact Bear, but Paddy was sure Bear had meant every word and was having the time of his life in Ireland, not needing his son. However we then saw Bear who was in the middle of nowhere, all alone, and trying to compose an apology message to Paddy. But he never sent it. What's going on? Kim's big plans Kim told Joe what her big project was: she wants to buy all the surrounding land to build the biggest farm in North Yorkshire. She's also heard word the land will soon change from agricultural use to commercial and she wants to be ready to cash in. She and Joe are going to make sure the Tate legacy lives on. She's forgiven him, then?! Jacob's secret out in Emmerdale tonight Jacob was looking up surrogacy and Pollard caught him, so Jacob confessed Charity was going to carry his and Sarah's baby. Eric then told Kerry and they tried to talk to him about how insane this idea was. But Jacob stayed firm - he and Sarah were having a child and he was prepared to be a dad.
