But he finds himself with little time to rest and more battles to fight later this week as his whole world once again implodes. As he finds out exactly what Robert did to Moira, he is out for blood. And he can’t control himself… Cain’s surgery went well (Credit: ITV) Cain had the cancer surgery in Emmerdale tonight Despite almost backing out a couple of weeks ago, Cain finally had his operation on Monday May 11. Moira stayed strong as he was wheeled into theatre, but Kyle was a wreck. The lad had overheard his dad asking the nurse to tell his family he loved them if he didn’t make it. That put all sorts of bad thoughts in Kyle’s head and he was convinced Cain was a goner. Fortunately, the surgeon soon came to tell Moira and the boys the news things had gone to plan and Cain was okay. article continues below Read all the latest spoilers They rushed to see him and Moira was by his side as he woke. But reality hit instantly when the nurse came in to check his catheter. Moira tries to help Cain, but he can’t rest (Credit: ITV) Cain struggles with the aftermath The idea he may be permanently incontinent has hit Cain really hard and he doesn’t want to face it. Despite doctors wanting to send him home, Cain is not ready to have to deal with a catheter himself – or have Moira deal with it either. So on Tuesday (May 12) he fakes his pain levels so the hospital will keep him in. Moira is frustrated but Cain insists he can’t go home.Don't miss a single story! Once they’ve gone he gets angry with Moira, knowing she is keeping something from him. He demands she tells him what is going on. Backed into a corner, Moira is forced to admit Robert planted the ID documents that sent her to prison. Cain is absolutely raging. He wants revenge, but Moira begs him to put his health first and rest. He soon asks Sam to help him out… The next day Robert is knocked unconscious in one of the barns by Sam. He wakes up tied to a chair with Cain looming over him with a hammer. Cain makes it very clear Robert is going to pay for what he’s done. But is Cain really up to this? Can he actually bring himself to take revenge on Robert? Or is it all too much for him right now?
