Despite all the obvious practical reasons it’s a crazy plan, Charity’s husband Mackenzie Boyd is not going to be happy. At all. Victoria couldn’t help Sarah (Credit: ITV) What happened with Charity and Sarah in Emmerdale tonight On Monday July 14 Charity railroaded Victoria into thinking about being Sarah’s surrogate. Given they had had no luck with any agencies, Charity was sure family was the only option. But Victoria was not incredibly keen. Tonight (Tuesday) she told Robert about the request. He was furious Charity had put her in that position. Vic admitted after her first pregnancy was overshadowed by her rape, she didn’t think she could go through with another one. They went round to see Sarah and Robert laid into Charity. But Sarah had no idea Charity had even approached Victoria. article continues below Read all the latest spoilers Once they were alone, Vic explained why she couldn’t help and Sarah completely understood. She said it was fine as she was going to use an agency. But soon an apologetic Charity told Sarah the truth: the agencies wouldn’t take her on because of her condition. And when Cain then revealed he’d been scammed by a surrogate, Sarah was devastated. They then decided they would ask the entire Dingle family – including the Irish lot. But Sarah was resigned to the fact it was over and she needed to move on. Charity tried to persuade her they would find the perfect person and then impulsively said: “I’ll do it,” leaving Sarah and Cain shellshocked. She at first does not tell Mack what she’s thinking of doing. But Pollard, who thinks the whole idea is ludicrous, decides to tell Mackenzie himself. Totally stunned, Mack then confronts Charity and their argument turns explosive. But Charity remains firm: she is doing this for Sarah whether Mack likes it or not. Turns out Mack really, really doesn’t like it. He is devastated she is willing to carry Sarah’s baby but not his child. They just can’t agree, but when the clinic calls and says they are ready to try and inseminate, Charity assures Sarah this is what she wants. She insists Mackenzie will come round. However, Mack has had enough. He tells Charity it’s the surrogacy or their marriage. What will Charity do? What else happened in Emmerdale tonight? Joe was forced into conning Kim, John confronted Robert's spiker and Lewis wanted in in Emmerdale tonight... Joe tried to sort it out and presented Kim with an new investment opportunity: a solar farm in Scotland. He dazzled Kim with a lot of zeros on the figures, but she still wasn't convinced it was the right investment for her. She said she needed a night to think on it. Kim then talked about Graham Foster and how he would be pleased to see the two of them working together. The nostalgia got Joe thinking - especially as Kim told him she didn't know what she'd do without him. Does this meam Joe will do the sensible thing and tell her who Crowley really is? John threw Owen out in Emmerdale tonight John saw a patient in the surgery - it was Owen, the man who spiked Robert. He wanted a prescription for sleeping pills and John confronted him over using them to drug people. John threw Owen out, accusing him of being threatening and abusive. Robert saw the incident and felt shaken - but Aaron stepped in and Robert was forced to play happy families with John. There must be some significance to Owen's return, and we won't have to wait long to find out what... Cain scammed Moira was frustrated that Cain was throwing all his attention into sorting a surrogate for Sarah rather than planning Nate's memorial. But Cain was left upset when he found out he'd been scammed into giving £500 to someone online who took the money and ran. Nicola were Lewis are in business in Emmerdale tonight Nicola was firmly against Lewis buying into the café and told Brenda as much. But then Lewis suggested he would get a coffee van instead and set up outside and Nicola was forced to agree. Lewis got the ball rolling immediately and told Ross he'd made loads of stock market investments and had a lot of money. But his enthusiasm didn't go down too well with Nicola.
