Will Celia double-cross Moira again?

After Joe used Celia to get at Moira, the two women decided to join forces and now are considering another business deal together. But Emmerdale fans are still suspicious and have warned Moira not to trust Celia.

The no nonsense attitude of Celia Daniels has made her a popular addition to Emmerdale, with many requesting more of the new farmer.

However, they weren’t too happy when she tricked Moira into the hotel business deal as a means of getting her to sell the farm to the Tates.

But with Celia now having come clean, can she be trusted? Fans think not.

Moira and Celia team up in Emmerdale

Last month Celia came clean to Moira Dingle and admited that she had been working for Joe Tate against Moira.

Celia said that she’d used the hotel contract as a means of getting Moira to fall further on her knees and therefore be forced to sell the farm to the Tates. Celia had been promised free rent as part of the deal.

Moira was understandably fuming at Celia’s confession, but Celia calmed her down with the offer of a real partnership.

Celia suggested the they work together against Joe. She managed to win Moira over by pointing out she knew how Joe and Kim worked so was therefore a good ally to have.

Moira and Celia later visited Joe and told him they were now a team and were not scared of him. Joe promptly rung Kim to tell her they had sounded like they mean business.

Celia’s new proposal

Last night (Monday September 15) Celia visited Moira with a new business deal to save both their farms. But it required permits and paperwork that would take ages to come through, so Moira was concerned.

Celia told her they could start doing it anyway while the waited for the permits to come through. She insisted it would be no harm done and they could start making money much quicker that way.

Moira was uneasy, but she knew it was an offer she couldn’t afford to refuse.

But is Celia being genuine this time? Can she be trusted? Fans are convinced not!

Fans warn Moira Celia is ‘not to be trusted’

Despite the show of solidarity between the women – and our love of their newfound bond – some viewers at home don’t think Celia is on the level at all.

“Seriously, I trust her less than the distance between Moira’s kitchen table and the door,” wrote one fan on Reddit.

“I wondered whether she was double playing Moira by admitting to working with Joe, telling her she’s a stopped but really working for him still on the sly,” suggested a second.

Another agreed: “Celia is definitely a villain! This son she has spoken about… that may have a lot to do with why she is (still) working with Joe/Kim. There has to be more to the story I think, than just her wanting 6 months of free rent…”

“I wonder if she still is in cahoots with Joe still and the previous reveal was to gain Moira’s trust for what she really has planned?’ mused a fourth.

A fifth came up with another reason they think Celia is double-crossing Moira. “I think Celia is still manipulating and backstabbing Moira. Could it be that she is Al’s mum?? Joe was useful to start with but he was causing her problems and is irrelevant to her revenge plan against the family??”
