Robron fans everywhere rejoiced when they heard the news that Ryan Hawley’s return as Robert Sugden will be permanent later in the summer. And while he is back in prison for breaking his probation terms, fans are already thinking of ways he can take John Sugden down. When Robert reappeared Aaron chose John. And viewers all knew what a mistake that was, but he’s currently unaware that John’s a killer. However, it didn’t go the way he had hoped, and Aaron still married John. At first everyone thought Robert was only back temporarily. Aaron is yet to discover just how evil his new husband can be. But if Robert is determined to win Aaron back, could he be the one to figure it out? A lot of people believe Aaron and Robert may embark on another affair, just like when they first got together. But now a new fan theory has added a sinister twist to that, which suggests John may blackmail Aaron into staying with him. John and Robert have already gone head-to-head once (Credit: ITV) Aaron and Robert to ‘plot’ against John John is the only one who knows where Anthony’s body is. And Aaron beat Anthony up to the point he thought he had killed him. So, it would be very easy for John to point the whole thing onto him just to keep his husband. Taking to a Reddit thread discussing what could be next for John, one user predicted Aaron and Robert will team up against him. They penned: “I’m wondering if maybe Aaron and John’s relationship might end up somewhat of a sham that Aaron get out of. John is the only one who knows where Anthony’s body is and could threaten to expose it if Aaron leaves him. In that circumstance, I could see Aaron sneaking around with Robert, both cheating and plotting.” Aaron and Robert have never been able to stay away from each other in Emmerdale, so it’s entirely possible that he makes the decision to go back to him. And John definitely would not like that. If the fan-favourite duo team up against John, it also implies that at some point Robert learns the truth about Anthony. And based on history, he would do whatever it takes to protect the man he loves. It remains to be seen if Aaron and Robert will reunite or take John down. But it’s safe to say things are going to get exciting when Robert comes back for good.
