What caused her to collapse?

Emmerdale this week saw Chas Dingle collapse and while her medication was thought to be at fault, fans are concerned the character has cancer again.

Since the limo crash, Chas has been taking Codeine to help with the back injury she sustained.

Ella Forster was accused of tampering with the medication, causing Chas to collapse, but fans have a different theory.

Chas collapses in Emmerdale

While tidying up in The Woolpack following the eventful engagement party, Chas suddenly collapsed – hitting her head on the way down.

Her future son-in-law, and paramedic, John found her and looked after her until she was taken to hospital.

At the hospital, it was confirmed that Chas had an elevated level of codeine in her system. Liam was insistent that she wouldn’t have overdosed and quickly pointed the finger at Ella.

However, Ella was adamant she had nothing to do with it. She went as far as to theorise that Chas had tampered with the medication herself in a bid to frame Ella and drive her out of the village.

But some Emmerdale fans believe Chas may have collapsed for a completely different reason.

Emmerdale fans have Chas cancer theory

While there have been some theories as to who messed with Chas’s medication, some fans believe it may not have had anything to do with the medication at all.

It’s not Chas‘s cancer back is it?” asked one fan on X, alongside a crying face emoji. A second viewer agreed, writing: “That’s what I’m thinking. I think she got a tumour on her spine.”

“Reckon Chas got a tumour in her back,” wrote a third fan, with a fourth adding: “Omg, Chas, her cancer must have come back.”

A fifth viewer said: “I suspect Chas has stage 4 cancer (causing the bone pain). Not sure about why the drug levels were so high though.”

A sixth fan theorised that there could be similar stories in both ITV soaps, writing: “I think Chas like Kevin in Corrie is going to be killed off via a cancer storyline.”
