Emmerdale star Eden Taylor-Draper has teased a future romance for Belle Dingle.

It’s been a traumatic few years for Belle Dingle as she faced horrific domestic abuse from her husband Tom King. But now that she has come out the other side, Belle is focussing on rebuilding her life.

Belle now runs Take A Vow, alongside Dawn Fletcher, after Leyla and Suzy’s tragic deaths. So as she finds her feet on her own again professionally, it looks like Belle could also find a new romance.

Eden Taylor-Draper teases Belle romance

Actress Eden Taylor-Draper appeared on the ITV daytime show This Morning yesterday (June 24) to celebrate 20 years of Belle Dingle.

She opened up on how much she enjoys working at Emmerdale as well as what could be coming up for her character.

Speaking to hosts Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley, Eden admitted that she had a real sense of “responsibility” when filming the domestic abuse storyline. 

Eden said: “It was a huge responsibility and that’s why we all – every department – put everything we could into it. The feedback was incredible, and that’s when you realise that is the power of soaps. It can help one person reach out and get help. It was a responsibility.”

But Ben then pointed out that things move quickly in Soap Land, and asked whether or not Belle could find happiness with someone new sometime soon.

While Eden remained tight-lipped, she did tease that something could be coming – but refused to say with who.

She replied: “Yeah. I mean – I have been in work recently – yesterday actually – and I had a really fun day, working with someone. So, yeah.”

Belle and Billy?

Over the last few months, Emmerdale fans have been convinced that Belle’s new boyfriend will be Billy Fletcher. 

Billy is currently caught up in a feud with his ex Dawn and her new beau Joe Tate. But wanting to move forward with his life, could Belle and Billy be brought together?

And now that Dawn is working alongside Belle at Take A Vow, if she does embark on a romance with Billy, could things get awkward for the business partners?

Some fans took to social media to predict a Belle and Billy romance.

One wrote: “Belle deserves to be happy. I would like to see her and Billy together.”

Another added: “Belle would be lovely with Billy.”

Are we set for a brand new Emmerdale couple? Whether or not it’s with Billy, it looks like happiness is right around the corner for Belle – let’s hope this one lasts!
