It wasn’t looking good for Dylan last night (Monday August 4) after his leg wound became infected. So what exactly does his future hold? April was pleased to see Dylan again (Credit: ITV) Dylan returns to Emmerdale After Dylan came back to the village last week, it turned out he was working for drug dealer Ray. Although Dylan is clean himself, he is running errands for the kingpin. One such job caused Dylan to get stabbed in the leg by Kyle with a pitchfork. April has been trying to treat his wound, but with Dylan refusing to go to the hospital on Monday she found him in a state. He was semi-conscious at the cricket pavilion. However, he still wouldn’t go to the hospital, so April took him to the vets. She was ready to attempt to stitch him up herself when Paddy arrived, horrified. April pleaded with him to help and despite risking his vet’s licence, he finally agreed and stitched Dylan’s leg back up. He even gave Dylan his own leftover antibiotics following his dog attack. article continues below Read all the latest spoilers When Paddy heard where Dylan had been staying, he decided to offer him a place with him and Mandy until he could get him into a hostel. While Marlon was angry, he soon accepted the idea. But what they don’t know is that Dylan is still hiding things. And is still working with Ray even though he doesn’t want to. Ray asked him to do one more tiny job for him. So when Dylan arrived back at Paddy and Mandy’s drugs fell out of his bag. He managed to hide them in time, but when will he come clean about Ray? They think all of this is leading to Dylan’s death, believing Emmerdale has kept quiet over whether it’s temporary or permanent for a reason. “Hopefully this drugs story will be a short one and not drag on like the others,” they wrote on Instagram. “I’ve got a feeling that Dylan is going to be killed off either by Ray or the injury on his leg. I think Dylan’s return may be a temporary one again like last time. It’s not been confirmed how long he is back for yet…” Ray has April and Dylan where he wants them (Credit: ITV) Is Dylan back in Emmerdale for good? Despite uncertainty over the length of Dylan’s stay in the Dales, show boss Laura Shaw did hint his background would be beefed out – suggesting a long-term stay. “He’s going to be bringing his past back to the village with him and that’s going to cause a few problems for April and the wider family,” she said. “We’ve got a couple of exciting new castings joining us for that story.” New castings and problems for the family – sounds like long-term plans to us. Things get messy for Dylan next week when he and April commit to each other properly by sleeping together on her 16th birthday. But Ray is still lurking in the background. He wants one last job doing (it’s always one last one, right?!) but he wants April to do the drop. April agrees as long as this is the last thing Dylan ever does for Ray.
