Dylan first appeared in Emmerdale earlier this year as part of April’s life on the streets story. After running away from home, April Windsor encountered Dylan and he helped keep her safe. After a stay in rehab, Dylan is now back and fans think they’ve cracked his secret identity. April caught up with Dylan (Credit: ITV) Dylan returns to Emmerdale Earlier this year, April’s dad Marlon Dingle agreed to pay for Dylan to go to a private rehab facility after setting him up for a crime he didn’t commit. Earlier this week, Dylan returned to the Dales, but not in the way viewers were expecting. article continues below Read all the latest spoilers Moira Dingle is currently struggling to hold on to her farm after a slurry leak put her in financial difficultly. Joe Tate has been pressuring her to sell to him, but she has been reluctant. After two masked intruders broke into Butler’s, Moira wrongly believed they had been sent by Joe to intimidate her. During the ruckus, one of the intruders was stabbed in the leg by Kyle with a pitchfork. It was soon revealed that that particular intruder was Dylan. Spoilers for next week reveal April grows concerned when she finds Dylan in the pavilion shivering and struggling with a leg injury. Dylan refuses to see a doctor, but vet Paddy later patches him up. Dylan also has Ray to worry about, who is eager for Dylan to do more jobs for him. Could Kelly be Dylan’s mum? (Credit: ITV/Shutterstock) Emmerdale fans think Dylan is related to classic character Dylan was introduced as a homeless boy, so his family have not been seen on screen. But if he’s going to be sticking around in Emmerdale, it makes sense that his home life will eventually be explored. Fans have already been speculating over Dylan’s history, with one having a wild theory. Writing on X, they said: “Calling it now, Dylan is Kelly Windsors kid #emmerdale.” Kelly Windsor first appeared in the soap in 1993, before leaving for London in 2000. She returned for a two year spell in 2005 and then again for a short stint in 2011. During her time in the Dales, Kelly had a relationship with Jimmy King and she is the mother of Elliot – who currently lives with Jimmy and Nicola. Fans will also be aware that Kelly is the half-sister of April’s mum Donna, which would mean if this new theory is true then April and Dylan are cousins. Dylan hid from Ray (Credit: ITV) Emmerdale fans have other theories After breaking into Butler’s Farm at Ray’s instruction, next week Ray will ask Dylan to do another job for him. Fans have wondered how Ray and Dylan crossed paths – with some suggesting they could be related. “Said this somewhere else but thoughts on Dylan being related to someone? Maybe Ray being his dad or an uncle?” One fan wrote. Another fan said: “I want Ray to be Dylan’s dad because Fred [Kettle] looks like a young Joe Absolom.” A third fan added: “I like Dylan! I know there’s hints about him working for Ray but I actually think Ray could be his dad not just his ‘boss’.” Fans previously suggested that Dylan could be Tina Dingle’s son, while others thought he could be the son of Eli Dingle.
