And some even think he’s hiding a dark side which is about to come to light. Last night (June 24) Jacob made the shock decision to be Sarah Sugden’s sperm donor. But remained adamant that he would happily step away and only be involved as much as she wanted him to be. But over the last few months, Jacob has been on and off with Sarah, and even had a momentary feud with Kammy. Yes, his mum just recently died so he may not be being his usual self. But it seems fans think it’s been going on longer than that, and they’re fed up. Jacob didn’t cope well in the immediate aftermath, and turned against Sarah, his girlfriend at the time. But as the months go on, Jacob has tried to be there for her as a friend, and was the only one to know about her IVF and cancer diagnosis until recently. article continues below Read all the latest spoilers And now, he has even offered to be the sperm donor for her. But is also willing to just not be in the baby’s life. This hasn’t sat too well with fans, as some think he’s being “too nice” and actually has a completely other side to him. Taking to a Reddit thread, fans discussed the character of Jacob, and debated if something more was to come. He’s had a lot to deal with recently (Credit: ITV) Could Jacob take a dark turn in Emmerdale? One penned: “I have never really liked or disliked Jacob. But now it’s just dislike. I think he is a mild mannered John. Overly nice and helpful. Nobody is that nice all of the time. The situation with Sarah could not be more dodgy. Look at how he was with Kammy, ringing the police on him, spying and generally being a creepy weirdo. He is going to be a proper nightmare.” Another agreed, admitting they “never liked” his character. They wrote: “I never liked him. He reminds me a bit of Mack, in that he makes things 10x worse, and somehow says the wrong thing every single time. He is also always narcissistic with the same moping expression. Plus, he has no one on the show other than Eric – which is probably why they are forcing the Sarah angle – so he has a reason to stay.” A third agreed, adding: “He’s definitely going to turn into a psycho.” “He’s either always crying or angry. I don’t mind him as a character too much, though” another commented. If Jacob does go on to provide the sperm for Sarah’s IVF, then could it be possible he changes his mind about staying away. And perhaps he will want to be involved in the baby’s life – and things could get a bit darker?
