Last year, Robert made his highly awaited return, and viewers were thrilled. Since then, he has been on our screens quite a lot. From secret husbands, to getting Aaron back, Robert’s return truly had it all. But now, as the months have passed, some viewers are concerned for his future. Last week, Victoria left the village as she couldn’t cope with murdering John. And some Emmerdale fans are concerned that may mean trouble for Robert, as he doesn’t interact with many other villagers… Robert wants to get the farm back (Credit: ITV) Concerns grow for Robert After Victoria left the village, Robert found the old Emmerdale Farm stone and believed it was a sign for him to fix the farm with his family. But now that Vic has actually left, fans are concerned that we won’t get to see Robert on our screens as much – something which is already annoying viewers. And this is purely because he doesn’t really hang out with anyone else. article continues below Read all the latest spoilers Taking to Reddit, fans discussed what needs to happen to Robert now that his sister is gone. One fan proposed: “Where does Robert’s story go? Victoria was Robert’s rock and his best friend. Will the show create a new friend for him? She was someone he could trust to keep his secrets, and now Robert has no one he can turn to.” Another agreed: “It will be very interesting to see where this leads. Especially as Victoria was very harsh when Robert reappeared..” A third agreed that he needs to have more friends, but wasn’t too sure who it could be. They penned: “The issue is finding him someone who isn’t related to Aaron. I think he and Rub and/or Caleb could be friends, and probably would have the most in common. But they would take Aaron’s side in any situations that arise.” “He needs a cheeky mate like Mack, but not Mack. Someone new. Maybe a childhood friend returns or someone who comes to work in the village?” another proposed. So, with fans calling for a change for Robert to get more friends in the village, who could that be? And if he doesn’t start hanging out with others, could it mean fans are in trouble and we will see less of him on our screens? We hope not! Just last month, during the iconic Corriedale crossover, Aaron and Robert found a moment in the madness to get engaged. However, after a very brief mention, it literally just has not been brought up again. Now, many fans want to see the soap actually come through, and give them a great Robron storyline that they have been waiting six years for. And even though there has been a lot of backlash on so many special episodes, some fans think it is exactly what Robert and Aaron need, in order to move past everything that has happened over the years. One said on X: “There is definitely a space for a special Robron episode. There is so much still to be told and discussed.” Another penned: “Give me an Aaron and Robert special episode where they talk about their disappointment, resentment and the heartbreak of those missing six years and really delve into their trauma and mental state.
