Celia, who is described as having a ‘tough edge,’ is played by The Bill and Casualty star Jaye Griffiths. She immediately clashed with Moira, giving viewers a glimpse of what to expect from the character. Fans headed to social media to praise the newcomer and have compared her to 90s Kim Tate. Paddy clashed with Celia (Credit: ITV) Celia makes first Dales appearance Monday’s episode of Emmerdale marked the first appearance for newcomer Celia Daniels. The newcomer is running the farm across the way from Moira Dingle, and her first scene saw the two women clash. article continues below Read all the latest spoilers As Celia approached Moira, Mack and Robert at the barn, she asked Robert who he was. Upon hearing the reply, she responded: “Sugden? They let you out? I’ve heard you Sugdens are a tad rough around the edges.” Showing that she means business, she then turned to Moira and demanded to rent the two fields next to her farm for £500 a month. Moira laughed at the suggestion and told Celia they were worth more than that. Celia pointed out Moira was desperate for money, but Moira wouldn’t budge. Not willing to offer any more money, Celia quipped: “Your funeral which, considering the level of stress in your face, won’t be that long.” Celia then set her sights on Paddy Kirk who was sitting in his car on the public road by Celia’s farm. After some cross words, Celia set off on her way. Paddy noticed a sheep caught in the fence on the edge of Celia’s farm, so the vet immediately set about freeing it. His good gesture was not rewarded. Instead, Celia’s dog leapt at Paddy and brutally attacked him. The police later informed Paddy that they were going to pay Celia a visit. How will she deal with the matter? Taking to Reddit, one viewer wrote: “I think I’m going to love her, and I already hope she sticks around. She’s giving 90s Kim vibes.” A second fan added: “A great casting. A great fit.
