But in another powerful instalment of Emmerdale, viewers were treated to the ‘longest-ever’ scene between Cain and Moira. And it left many of them in tears. For the last few weeks, many have been complaining that the show had become a bit boring after Corriedale. But tonight, that all changed. And when he did, he realised it is time to tell her the truth on what has been happening. The first half of the episode followed Cain as he struggled with all of the growing pressure, and after Belle had a go at him for getting Sarah involved in stealing cars, he headed off feeling emotional. article continues below Read all the latest spoilers But after a scare, and some advice from Liam, Cain finally realised he needed to come clean. Then, the second half of the episode was just Cain and Moira having a chat in the visiting room. Nothing else. No dramatic cuts to other villagers, no swapping of storylines. The entire focus for the last 12 minutes of the episode was solely on them. And it worked. The pair had a raw and honest conversation, where Cain finally confessed he has cancer, and has known all along. Moira was naturally left absolutely heartbroken by the news. But just as she thought the shocks were over, Cain explained that Joe Tate is blackmailing him for the farm. And while he promised her he wouldn’t let it go, she emphasised how his health was far more important than the farm. However, the emotional scene left a lot of Emmerdale viewers in awe of Cain and Moira, while also being absolutely heartbroken at the scene. It was recently confirmed that tonight’s episode would feature the “longest-ever” scene that actors Jeff Hordley and Natalie J Robb had ever done together. And it was definitely a hit with the fans. One viewer penned on Reddit: “Just watched tonight’s episode and thought the Cain and Moira scene was absolutely incredible. Like, I was genuinely in tears.” Another added: “They’re both incredibly talented. Excellent episode.” “So good. That’s why they are the best characters and couple on the show. What a scene,” a third penned. Another wrote on X: :Today’s episode is so well done. Cain and Moira are amazing.” “What an incredible scene between two of the best.
