In recent episodes, Dr Crowley made a return to the show, holding Joe hostage in a makeshift hospital – after a hilarious shovel to the head – threatening to cut his kidney out again. To get him to stop, Joe had to transfer him all of the money he had – leaving him broke. But that’s not all, Crowley also was revealed to be Kim’s mystery man, Eddie, showing Joe he can get close to those he cares about. Crowley told Joe he also wants Kim’s money, and that he won’t be going anywhere until he gets it. However, Emmerdale fans are confused over the whole thing. But it seems Eddie’s main concern is getting Kim Tate’s money and if he has to go through Dawn to get it, then he will. The bad blood between Crowley and Joe all stems from the bizarre kidney theft storyline earlier in the year. So now, months later, Crowley is back for revenge after he lost his job. And for some reason, Joe is going along with everything he says. There is just one question everyone wants to know though: why hasn’t he told Kim? The truth about the kidney theft is already out there, so keeping it a secret actually has no benefits at all to Joe. At Lydia’s big birthday bash, everyone found out that Joe stole Caleb’s kidney and drugged Noah the night of the limo crash. So since the truth is out there, why doesn’t he just tell someone? If he were to go to Kim and tell her that her new beau is actually the dodgy doc who operated on him and now wants all of her money – she would for sure help him get revenge. But suddenly Joe is afraid that Crowley will go after Dawn, so he’s keeping it a secret. Taking to Reddit, one user penned: “Everyone already knows the story of how he got the kidney, so why not just come out and say that’s the doctor who did the transplant? Kim would get rid of him and make sure her family is protected. Especially after he cleared out Joe’s account.” Another added: “It would make way more sense for him to tell someone. If Kim knew, she would wipe the floor with him. Of course, Joe won’t say anything and will put all of their lives in danger.” “It’s so ridiculous. The minute Joe is alone with Kim he could tell her and they could work out how to stop Crowley together.” Fans on X were also confused. One wrote: “Okay, but why doesn’t Joe just tell someone?
