Over the weekend, Isabel announced she and her husband are expecting their first baby, months after they tied the knot. But with her character, Victoria, playing a key character in the John Sugden storyline, fans have been theorising how she may leave Emmerdale. And some even think we’ll get a shock return on the lead-up to her exit. So, let’s have a look at all the theories so far… Does Victoria leave after John’s secrets come out? ITV 1. Victoria leaves after John reveal With the reports that John’s storyline is set to continue for a while as he kills again, the ending could line-up with when Isabel heads off on maternity leave. article continues below Read all the latest spoilers Victoria has played a key part in defending John against anyone who says a bad word about him. So, when the truth eventually comes out, she is likely to be devastated. And a huge part of her is really going to regret sticking up for him. So, will it all get to much in the aftermath? And if so, perhaps Victoria decides to leave the village for good? Could Victoria leave in a coffin? (Credit: ITV) 2. John kills Victoria Another way her departure could merge with John’s story is if he kills her too. It seems John is at the stage where he would do just about anything to keep his secrets under-wraps. So if Victoria were to eventually discover what her brother has been up to, could she ultimately be a target? With the amount of emotions eating at John for killing Nate, imagine how he would react to killing his own sister. Or there is the long-running theory that John isn’t actually a Sugden. So if that ever came out as true, then perhaps he wouldn’t feel bad about killing her at all… Could Adam Barton make a surprise return? (Credit: ITV) 3. Adam Barton return? As soon as Isabel announced her pregnancy, Emmerdale fans called for Adam Barton to make an appearance for Victoria’s exit. Taking to social media, one fan penned: “What if Adam Thomas comes back for one episode to propose to Vic and take her back to Italy with him.” There have been calls for Adam to return for years, but Vic and Adam were always an adored love story, so could fate push them back together once again? 4. Could Vic head to see Andy? Andy Sugden is still on the run, and he probably has no clue about any of the John stuff in Emmerdale, so could Victoria head off to see him? We would imagine at some point, it would be nice for Robert or Victoria to fill Andy in on having a half-brother. So when John’s caught out, perhaps Victoria finds a way to contact Andy. Moves to Portugal with Diane Another option is that Victoria decides a new life is what she wants. Perhaps she doesn’t think there’s much in Emmerdale for her anymore. Diane Sugden moved to Portugal a few years ago to reinvent herself. And she is the only one in Victoria’s close circle who isn’t on the run. So, if Victoria decides she wants a life away, but not running, perhaps she heads off to spend some time with Diane. How Victoria actually exits Emmerdale remains to be seen. But we should still have a few months of Isabel on our screen, before she heads off on maternity leave!
