Ross and Charity have a ‘connection’

On Monday night (November 4) Ross put the moves on Charity, but she rebuffed him. However, it was clear she was tempted – ever heard the saying ‘the lady doth protest too much’?!

Ross is confident they have a connection and told Mackenzie as much on Tuesday (November 5). There’s no doubt Ross was enjoying winding Mack up as the Scotsman continued to patronise and belittle him. He even joked things between him and Charity were like “fireworks”, which riled Mack so much he stormed home to confront his wife.

Charity confessed Ross had kissed her, but insisted she had set him straight and he knows it’s never going to happen. That wasn’t good enough for Mackenzie who vowed to kill Ross. Because that’s worked so well for him in the past – how many times has Ross overpowered him now?!

Desperate to save her hubby from getting a pasting, Charity cornered Ross and told him to stop playing games. She said she was the only one in his corner, so he needed to stop winding her husband up.

But even these scenes showed Ross is right, there is a connection between them. But will they act on it?

Ross and Charity’s relationship history

Ross and Charity in Emmerdale definitely have a history together - and a child!

They first slept together in 2014 when Charity was estranged from husband Jai Sharma. Jai had fathered a child with Rachel Breckle and Charity wanted to make him jealous.

Ross soon turned his attentions to her daughter, Debbie Dingle, and then moved on with Donna Windsor, who he fell deeply in love with. But when Donna died, he was left bereft - and single.

He got involved with Charity when she set up an illegal chop shop in a barn at Butlers Farm. He was employed to dismantle the cars and, at some point, they had another one-night stand.

Meanwhile, Ross had fallen for Debbie and they had started an affair behind her fiancé Pete's back. Pete also happened to be Ross's brother!

Moses is born

When Charity was sentenced to two years in prison for perverting the course of justice, it was later revealed she was pregnant. She gave birth to Moses while still inside and signed over the parental rights to Debbie. But she refused to reveal who the father was, despite being pressed by Cain to 'fess up.

Moses fell sick and Charity was allowed to visit him from prison as it was said he might not have long to live. Debbie told Charity she had to contact the father and that's when it was revealed Ross was the baby daddy!

At first Ross wanted nothing to do with his son, but with Moses recovering from his operation, Ross felt drawn to him. He was also continuing his affair with Debbie with her non-the-wiser that he had fathered a child with her mother!

Debbie and Ross planned to run away together, but Cain had discovered the truth about Moses. He told distraught Debbie the truth to stop them leaving. Debbie dumped Ross and he was then outed as Moses' father at Pete's stag do.

When Charity was released from prison, she tried to sell Moses to Emma and James Barton for £50k. The lad ended up living with Emma, James and Ross.

Charity and Ross kiss again in Emmerdale

Charity and Ross continued to be in each other's orbit and got into many schemes together, including one plot that saw them plan to steal a dog for money. The chemistry between them was palpable and they ended up kissing again. However she was in love with Cain at that point and quickly dropped Ross for him.

Ross was then injured in an acid attack and didn't want his son to see him. As he fell into cocaine abuse, things got bad and he decided his only option was to leave Emmerdale with girlfriend Rebecca.

Ross wanted to take Moses with him, but Charity was distraught. When she found out his cocaine habit had put Moses in danger, she told Ross he had to leave alone and sort himself out. He was allowed regular access to Moses.

Ross returns to Emmerdale

Last month Ross made his dramatic return to Emmerdale. He was revealed as the boxing opponent for Billy Fletcher in unlicensed fights.

Charity found out what was going on and encouraged Ross to stop being so reckless and focus on being a dad to Moses. He has moved back to the village - and clearly set his sights on Charity.

After trying to kiss her, she pushed him away and told him she was married to Mack. But it was clear she felt the spark. Will they act on it?
