John has been racking up a list of bad deeds since his arrival, chief among which include the murder of Nate Robinson. It had been an accident on well-meaning John’s part, but that didn’t leave Nate any less dead. After dumping Nate in the lake, John continued to put other lives at risk for his own gain (or satisfaction); tampering with Chas’s medicine, spiking Jacob’s coffee with nuts, bashing Liam over the head and contaminating the village water supply, to name but a few. John’s already overdue his comeuppance, but who exactly might be responsible for John’s downfall? Can John be stopped? Viewers voted overwhelmingly for it to be a confederacy of John’s friends and neighbours who bring him down – Orient Express style. article continues below Read all the latest spoilers 35% of responders agreed that Aaron, Cain, Mack and Robert should all team up to stop John before he kills again. The rest of the vote was more conflicted, with viewers tied between Cain, Mack and Robert, each at 17% apiece. Each have good reason to want rid – especially Cain, who’s now lost his son to John. Mack, meanwhile, has had it in for John from the start… even if he has cooled off a little recently. And then there’s Robert Sugden, who was released from prison just in time to crash John and Aaron’s wedding. Keen to rekindle his romance with Aaron, it won’t be long before Robert starts digging for dirt on his ex’s new man. This left John’s husband lagging behind in the vote, with only 10% thinking that Aaron should be the one to stop John. But could those John has wronged come together in the inevitable fight against John Sugden? War breaks out between Robert and John (Credit: ITV) Ryan Hawley teases confrontation between John and Robert Of John’s enemies, few will be as eager to get rid as Robert. He’s already tried to steal his man out from under John’s nose, and spots a hint of his darker side when John tries to threaten him in an upcoming prison visit. Robert Sugden star Ryan Hawley has teased his part in the conflict between John and Robert, telling The Mirror: “He loves his family, maybe he wouldn’t admit it but he loves the village and the community. He’d want to protect that, and going forward I think he does try to reveal John for who he is.” Ryan continued: “Who knows… there’s lots of motive for John to get rid of Robert. He is a huge inconvenience and an obstacle in relation to Aaron. As much as he hates him he is still family, but what does that say about John and his morals and who he is?” “Would he go as far as to kill his own family?
