But how? The reaction to Graham’s return wasn’t all smile and cuddles. Those villagers present when he strolled into the Woolpack were positively unwelcoming – hardly surprising given they thought he was dead. But one person seemed totally unphased by Graham’s arrival: Caleb Miligan. So what is their connection? Graham’s arrival in the Woolpack raised eyebrows (Credit: ITV) Graham made his public return in Emmerdale tonight After a week of keeping his head down at Home Farm, Graham was caught in the kitchen by Lydia and Gabby. They were stunned to see him and it made Joe realise they needed to get ahead of the gossips and get Graham out there. Where better to do that than the Woolpack? article continues below Read all the latest spoilers So off they headed for a quiet pint, and the reaction was anything but quiet. Especially from Charity who quipped: “Please tell me he’s AI.” Nope, not AI, very, very real. Billy was shocked and said he found the body and Graham was definitely dead. Graham advised him: “Check my pulse next time.” Charity raged over how Marlon got sent down for Graham’s murder. Sam didn’t believe it was Graham insisting Graham always wore suits! Rhona arrived and tried to explain he had returned to help April. Graham then made some apologies and said he wanted a life here again. But Charity was not interested at all. She threw him out and told both him and Joe they were barred. She then followed Graham and told him Joe was not worth sticking around for. Joe was determined to play Graham’s return down (Credit: ITV) Caleb knows Graham in Emmerdale! But one person wasn’t shocked to see him, she was just here for the gossip. Ruby, who was not around the last time Graham was, approached him warmly and said: “Well, whoever you are, you’ve nailed the big entrance – Ruby Miligan.” “Graham Foster,” he replied before nodding at her husband “Caleb,” he said in greeting. Ruby asked with surprise if they had met. Caleb replied: “Yeah, once upon a time. Sorry, the emotional catch-up’s going to have to wait, I’ve got work.” And that was it. So hang on, Graham and Caleb know each other? They have met before? What? How? When and why? Seems like we’ve got another Graham mystery to solve! Ruby and Caleb were the only ones polite to Graham (Credit: ITV) So how do Graham and Caleb know each other? Graham’s original stint on Emmerdale ran from 2017 to 2020. Caleb joined the soap in 2022 so their paths never crossed. However we do know that Graham and Caleb met once upon a time – when Caleb was out to get Kim Tate. When Caleb was exposed as trying to take Home Farm and the millions he felt he was owed due to his father Frank Tate’s death, he admitted to Kim he had “played the long game” and had a bit of help along the way. Caleb revealed to her he had started digging and found a ‘drunk husband’ who was willing to talk. It was just after Kim had ordered Graham to kill Joe in 2018 and he had listed all of Kim’s crimes, including what really happened to Frank. Viewers of course know Kim stood over Frank as he died from a heart attack, famously checking whether he was still breathing with her compact mirror. At the time Caleb told her: “[He was] an angry drunk husband with a tale to tell. A few tales, actually. After a few large whiskies, he was willing to tell me everything. “This Graham, he hit the booze again not long after [you] ordered him to get rid of Joe. He called you a poisonous bitch – I’d say that’s pretty accurate.” Caleb wasn’t surprised to see Graham alive in Emmerdale (Credit: ITV) But is that all there is to it? However, this all happened in 2018, which was two years before Graham’s supposed death. So why was Caleb not at all shocked to see Graham alive and well? We think this mystery might have some more to it, but then maybe that’s just wishful thinking! Either way, there’s certainly something to explore between these two men.
