The big question at the moment is whether Moira Dingle is leaving Emmerdale, especially as she found herself charged with double murder in Monday’s ITVX release.

Over the last few months, Celia had been doing her absolute best to set Moira up, so the evidence never linked back to her. And it’s safe to say, she did a very good job. And with Bear being the only one who could shed some light on the truth, Moira’s future looks bleak.

Since then, fans of the soap have been growing concerned that this might ultimately lead to her exit. And while the signs are all pointing to Moira going to prison, Natalie J Robb has actually given some clarity on her Emmerdale future.

Moira is charged with double murder

In Monday’s episode of Emmerdale (February 2) which is available to watch on ITVX and YouTube now, Moira and Cain were arrested right in front of Kyle – for double murder.

While Cain initially tried the silent treatment, he realised it wasn’t getting him far. And so, he decided to tell them the truth – that he and Moira know absolutely nothing. However, DS Walsh just refused to believe him.

However, Cain was soon released, but things didn’t go that well for Moira. Unfortunately, the other body was confirmed to be Celia. And as Anya was wrapped in Moira’s blanket (which had her DNA on it) all the signs pointed straight to Moira.

In the end, Moira was charged with the double murder of Anya and Celia. As a result, fans are wondering if Moira is leaving Emmerdale for good.

But don’t fret, Natalie J Robb has given fans a little bit of hope.

Is Moira leaving Emmerdale?

In a recent interview with Metro, Natalie revealed she has actually just signed a brand-new contract. So, luckily for fans, Moira Dingle doesn’t appear to be going anywhere.

She told the outlet: “I think that would be the first thing they would say to you ‘this is going to be it’. I’ve been lucky enough just to get another contract. So I think they would obviously say ‘sorry you’re going to be leaving but this is going be your out’.

“So when they just told me about the story I didn’t think that. I just didn’t really know how long I was going to be in for.  And how serious the allegations were going to be at that point.”

While we know Moira will be sticking around in the Dales for a little bit longer, we actually don’t really know how long she will be in prison for. But it definitely looks like it’s going to be a huge journey for her and her family.
