Fans of Emmerdale have predicted that scheming Joe Tate is using his romance with Dawn as a way of getting his hands on Home Farm. After months of agonising, Dawn made her decision last night (Wednesday, April 16), and agreed to leave Billy so that they could be together.

This came as Joe returned to the village following his operation. Telling both Kim and Dawn that he’d returned because he was in love, Joe was determined to have Dawn to himself.

And Dawn seems to have believed his claim that he’s fallen for her, agreeing to break the news to Billy that their marriage is over. But does Joe have an ulterior motive?

Joe is planning on using Dawn to take Home Farm, Emmerdale fans predict

Writing on social media, fans shared their thoughts on Joe and Dawn‘s relationship. And some wondered whether she might just be a pawn in a larger game, with Joe plotting to take Home Farm from Kim.

“Is Joe really in love with Dawn? Or is this some twisted plot to ruin Kim & she’s just collateral damage,” asked one fan on Instagram.

Emmerdale spoilers reveal affair confrontation and divorce plans

Following Dawn’s decision, next week’s episodes see Billy become convinced that she was having an affair. Emmerdale spoilers reveal that he grows furious and confronts Ross, believing him to be Dawn’s other man.

But when he accuses Ross in front of Clemmie, he puts his relationship with the kids at risk. Following his confrontation, Billy tries to make things up to Dawn – but she stands her ground, insisting that they’re done.

As they inform the children about the divorce, Kim offers to let Billy stay in the holiday cottage while he plans his next move.
