The Chas Dingle actress thinks competing on the show would be “exactly” what she needs. The challenge show is dubbed one of the hardest competitions on TV. Four people have already pulled out of the latest series of Celebrity SAS, but Lucy reckons she could last the course. Lucy Pargeter posted to her Instagram story about competing on Celebrity SAS (Credit: Instagram/lucy_pargeter) Emmerdale star Lucy Pargeter ‘pitches’ for Celebrity SAS Sharing a promo picture of the latest series to her Instagram Stories, Lucy wrote: “Just saying… I’d love to put myself through this… both mentally and physically it would be exactly what I need.” Although Lucy didn’t elaborate over whether she had been asked to do the series – or whether this was her pitching to get on it – the message seems pretty clear. The idea behind the show is that it pits contestants in a series of challenges similar to those of the United Kingdom Special Forces selection course. Lives have been lost for those taking it in real life, as such it has been modified to be somewhat easier for the celebs and prevent any deaths. However, no one gets voted off like in other reality shows. They can be culled by the staff, withdraw themselves or be medically withdrawn. We reckon Lucy would be ace! Chas has been in the army before, after all. And if Lucy can show half as much tenacity and guts as our Chas does, it should be a piece of cake for her to compete. In 2013 she was a contentant in I’m A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! Lucy really threw herself into jungle life and quickly established herself as a strong team player. She smashed a series of gruesome trials. Lucy also infamously clashed with fellow contestant, Amy Willerton. The soap actress felt the beauty queen didn’t always pull her weight in camp, and made her feelings known. Lucy’s straight-talking made for great telly, and viewers kept her in right until the final. She finished in a very respectable third. Third seems to be Lucy’s sweet spot as she also finished at number three in series one of Soapstar Superstar.
