It was a much-welcome return to excited fans, who were thrilled at the role she had to play in Robron’s reunion. Faith returned in Emmerdale tonight As Robert told his tale of life inside for six years, he confessed what had made him finally appeal his sentence. Faith had visited him in prison and begged him to come and sort Aaron out. She urged him to fight with the new evidence that had emerged about Lee’s brother Luke also hitting him. Faith questioned him over Aaron: “You still love him, don’t you?” Robert admitted he did “more than anything.” Faith responded by insisting: “Get him back and hold him tight because love like that should never go to waste.” article continues below Read all the latest spoilers Robert confessed Faith had given him the fire he needed to fight, but it took ages. He then found out about John and Aaron getting married and that was the final push he needed to force his solicitor to act. They immediately shared their joy on social media. “OMG thank God for Faith Dingle of all people believe it or not seriously,” said one. Another added: “I was absolutely not expecting the surprise visitor to be Faith, but I’m so glad now that it was.” “Sometimes you just need to have a little Faith… that things will work out. She said it was “very special”, “delightful” and “really enjoyable” to be back. The actress also spoke about how she based Faith on her own mum, who died last year, so coming back to be her again was “lovely”. And suggesting how she could make a return to the soap full-time, Sally said: “I’ve been practicing my Australian accent in case they decide a cousin suddenly appears called Hope.
