When asked about Ross and his romantic future she revealed what’s next for him. “We know he loves an older woman,” she said. “So there’s going to be a little dalliance between Ross and Laurel.” Laura continued: “But what we’re also seeing is Gabby beginning to become a little bit smitten with Ross. In fact, Ross’ arrival in Emmerdale came when he carjacked Laurel. She was tending to baby Leo at the side of the road when Ross jumped in the car and ordered her to drive. Laurel later tracked him down and threatened him with a pair of scissors. She told him she wanted him to feel as scared as she did when he attacked her. But Ross realised she wasn’t actually going to do anything so called her bluff. Fortunately Cain Dingle came to the rescue just as Ross was about to attack Laurel for a second time. And it’s not the first time Laurel and Gabby have been in a love triangle with a man either. In 2022 Gabby met a man named Chris on a dating app and who she started seeing. But she had no idea that Laurel’s new boyfriend, called Kit, was actually the same man! Kit was Marlon’s physio when he had a stroke and hit it off with Laurel. However when both women discovered he was seeing the other, they quickly dumped him. Laurel’s ex, Jai, punched him and Kit/Chris left with his tail between his legs never to be seen again.
