Killer John Sugden is bound and gagged inside Aaron and Robert’s flat and is staring down the barrel of a gun. It looks as if John is about to be shot dead, but suddenly Aaron turns on Robert, knocking him unconscious. John watches on his surprise, daring to believe Aaron has chosen him over his brother. With Robert still out cold on the floor, Aaron pulls John in for a passionate kiss. To him, this is confirmation that they can start their new life away from Emmerdale. He stumbles outside and encounters Joe Tate. Robert is in a total panic as he begs Joe for help, insisting they must save Aaron from John’s clutches. Meanwhile, Aaron still has the gun on John as he forces his deranged ex to keep driving. But with John in control of the wheel, the situation threatens to spiral. But they’re going to have to be quick. On the road, John is going faster and faster. He presses hard on the accelerator, as Aaron tries to take control of the steering wheel. With Aaron’s hands on the wheel, John takes his chance and lunges for the gun. Their vehicle suddenly veers dangerously out of control, and into the path of others.
