He plants a recording device inside his brother’s home, which leads John to learn a shocking truth. While everyone else seems to be sucked in by the medic’s local hero act, Robert isn’t buying it one bit. He’s now convinced that John framed Owen for Nate’s murder and is wondering what other crimes he’s committed. Robert continues his investigation by approaching Jacob to discuss the time that John saved his life. Jacob just rushes off, but Pollard is more forthcoming and regales Robert with stories of all the villagers John has managed to rescue. Robert’s mind is whirring as he knows there’s just too many coincidences. But now he’s got to find a way of proving John staged all these ‘accidents’. Robert picks up the phone and attempts to unlock it, but is thwarted when John suddenly arrives back. Afterwards John shares his concerns with Chas, who thinks Robert is just jealous. Victoria also reckons Robert needs to get help for his issues, but when he refuses John asks Liam to intervene by going to see him. So he sneaks into Keepers and plants a small recording device in the cottage. His plan works a treat, and as John listens into one of Robert’s conversations he makes an intriguing discovery. Thrilled to finally have some dirt on his brother, John is confident that Robert won’t be bothering him any more. But what exactly has John heard? And will it be enough to deter Robert? We doubt it!
