But for months Charity has let everyone think the child she’s carrying is Sarah and Jacob’s after she agreed to act as a surrogate for the young couple. After being in the dark over his wife’s devastating betrayal, Mack now knows the truth. As the magnitude of Charity’s lies starts to sink in, Mack is consumed with rage. He wants Charity to pay for what she’s done. Deciding not to confront Charity right away, Mack masks his pain and persuades her to go on a car ride with him. As the journey gets underway, Charity realises Mack knows about her lies and danger is looming.
