Mack is left reeling in shock over Charity’s surrogacy plans (Credit: ITV) Charity wants to be Sarah’s surrogate in Emmerdale spoilers Charity’s decision to carry Sarah’s baby was made on total impulse. She had already gone behind her granddaughter’s back by asking Victoria Sugden if she’d act as Sarah’s surrogate. Vic wasn’t keen, so Charity and Cain agreed they would explore other options. But seeing Sarah in such agony was more than Charity could bear, so she offered to carry her baby. Cain was horrified by the hastiness of it all, particularly as Charity had made the decision without even consulting Mack first. But Charity is adamant this is what she wants to do. As the week begins, Mack is still in the dark about the surrogacy plan. He’s furious that she would keep something as major as this from him, but Charity defends her decision. The main cause of Mack’s upset is that Charity is so willing to carry Sarah’s baby, when she’s always refused to have kids with him. Meanwhile, Jacob is also angry when he finds out Pollard told Mack. He rails at his grandad for betraying his trust, but Pollard bites back saying that Jacob is making a huge mistake by acting as Sarah’s sperm donor. Sarah then gets involved with the spat, and accuses Eric of having an issue with Charity. He sets her straight, insisting it’s not Charity that’s the problem, it’s Sarah’s shortened life expectancy. Sarah can see her gran and Mack are already at odds, and she’s concerned it could lead to even more conflict. Charity tries to sooth her fears, insisting she’ll find a way to talk Mack round. But that doesn’t seem likely given how angry Mack is. Events come to a head when Mack tells Charity if she goes ahead with the surrogacy then their marriage is finished! Which option will she choose?
