The Dingles learn their missing relative never arrived in the Shetlands. But another grisly truth awaits as Nate’s body nears the surface of the lake… Belle comes to Tracy’s rescue (Credit: ITV) Belle is on the case over Nate in Emmerdale spoilers Nate left the village last September for a new job in Shetland. But viewers know he never made it to Scotland after being accidentally killed by John Sugden. The medic disposed of the body in a local lake, and Nate’s family are none the wiser. Cain has started to suspect something awful has happened to his son, but is mainly angry with Nate for abandoning Tracy and Frankie. Life remains tough for Tracy. With no child support coming in from her ex, she’s had to resort to using Nate’s credit card. This week, Tracy is left red-faced when Nate’s card is declined. Belle comes to her rescue and gets chatting to Tracy about Nate’s disappearance. Like Cain, Belle feels as if something isn’t adding up. So she takes matters into her own hands and heads up to Shetland in search of Nate. John works overtime to manipulate Belle (Credit: ITV) Belle makes a shocking discovery Belle is on the case and she soon learns that Nate never arrived for his new job at the wind farm. article continues below Read all the latest spoilers She informs Sam and Cain of this concerning development, both of whom struggle to make sense of it. But when John hears what Belle has uncovered he knows he has to act quickly to prevent things from spiraling. The scheming Sugden tries to convince Belle that Nate have gone off his grid because he doesn’t want to be found. And when Belle picks up the phone to ring the police, John stops her. You’d think by this point Belle would be suspicious of John’s interference. But no. Instead she’s persuaded not to report Nate as a missing person when John points out it would only cause Tracy and Frankie more misery. John fears his killer secret is under threat (Credit: ITV) Nate’s body approaches the surface in Emmerdale spoilers After reluctantly agreeing to cease the search for Nate, Belle’s focus switches to Aaron and John’s upcoming wedding. The Dingles are eager to make this a day to remember as they welcome John into the brood. John is able to breathe a sigh of relief. But just as everything seems to be back on track there’s more alarming news. He overhears Moira telling Cain that the water company dealing with the slurry leak will have to dredge the lake that Nate is in. John knows that if that happens then his victim’s watery grave will definitely be discovered.
