Will she find the courage to tell her family what’s going on, or suffer in silence? Sarah hasn’t told her family she wants a baby (Credit: ITV) Sarah wants a baby in Emmerdale spoilers After deciding she’d done with men, Sarah now has her heart set on becoming a mum. She may only be 19, but Sarah fears she’s running out of time. Viewers will know that Cain and Charity‘s granddaughter has the life-limiting condition Fanconi anaemia. With a life expectancy of around 40, Sarah’s illness increases her risk of developing certain types of cancer. Sarah has previously battled throat cancer as well as undergoing a heart transplant. Because of everything she’s been through, Sarah is determined to fulfil her dreams. With her appointment at the fertility clinic set, she tricks Cain into advancing her wages so she’s got enough to cover the bill. Will he suspect she’s up to something? article continues below Read all the latest spoilers Sarah’s appointment at the clinic doesn’t go well (Credit: ITV) Sarah receives scary news Sarah arrives at the clinic, determined to go ahead with IVF. The doctors raise their concerns at what she’s taking on given her medical history, but Sarah refuses to listen. It’s not just the fans who think Sarah is being irresponsible then! Next day, Sarah heads back to the clinic. This time it’s for a physical examination, carried out by a Dr Knapp. But Sarah is in for a terrible shock when Dr Knapp reveals there’s inflammation on her cervix. The medic tries her best not to alarm Sarah, but advises this needs to be investigated further. Immediately, Sarah fears the worst and returns home in a terrible panic that the Big C is back. Scared Sarah is unable to tell Cain and Charity what’s going on (Credit: ITV) Sarah suffers in silence in Emmerdale spoilers Back in the village, Vanessa is keen to find out how it went at the clinic. Sarah’s former step-gran is the only person who she’s let in on her secret plan and wants to offer her support. However, Sarah can’t find the words to tell Vanessa about her inflamed cervix and makes out everything is okay. Later, she tries to talk to Cain and Charity, but they’re both too busy. With her family caught up in other matters, Sarah resolves to suffer in silence. She slips away to her hospital appointment alone, where she she undergoes a biopsy on her cervix. Alone and scared, Sarah faces an anxious wait to find out if she’s got cancer.
