The pair hit upon the idea of farming cannabis, hoping it will the answer to Moira’s financial woes. But will they be able to pull off the risky plan? Ross is intrigued to learn Lewis is growing weed (Credit: ITV) Ross makes an intriguing discovery in Emmerdale spoilers It’s Ross’s long-lost brother, Lewis who first plants the idea of growing cannabis. The pair are slowly starting to get to know one another having spent their whole lives apart. Lewis is the secret son of Emma Barton, who viewers will remember met a grisly end thanks to Moira. Now Lewis has connected with Ross he’s keen to know all about his family. Ross hasn’t yet told Lewis that Moira murdered their mum, but it feels like it’s only a matter of time before he learns the truth. Ross soon discovers his brother is a man full of surprises when he hears Lewis is growing marijuana. Suddenly Ross sees an opportunity to make a load of money, which could come in very handy for his family. Moira and the rest of the Barton/Dingle brood are at risk of losing Butlers thanks to the slurry pipe leak. Moira has been hit with a hefty fine for the damage caused and the insurance company won’t pay out. Fearing this is the end of her business, Moira is ready to jack it all in. Meanwhile, Ross arranges another meeting with Lewis. He asks his brother if he can purchase a few of his cannabis plants for ‘medicinal purposes’, and Lewis falls for it. Ross can’t believe how easy it all was, but is rumbled when Mack spies him looking shifty. Mack sees what’s in Ross’s possession and knows at once he’s up to something. But will he keep quiet? Ross and Mack become partners in crime (Credit: ITV) Ross and Mack join forces to save Butlers As Ross fills Mack in on his illegal plan, he makes him promise not to breathe a word to anyone. Suddenly it dawns on Mack that this could be the solution to all Moira’s problems. He suggests they join forces to grow, and sell, the weed. But both men realise they won’t get very far in the drugs business with a few piddly plants. Ross and Mack devise an alternative scheme, one which they hope will bring in the dosh.
