Emmerdale spoilers for next week: Paddy rushed to hospital after vicious attack

Paddy is left close to death in next week Emmerdale spoilers after he’s attacked by a dog on Celia’s farm. Brave Bear comes to his son’s rescue and fights the canine off, but Paddy is left with serious injuries. Will he pull through?

Paddy is critically injured in Emmerdale spoilers

The horrifying chain of events unfolds after Paddy is out driving with dad, Bear. The pair spy a sheep caught in a fence on Celia’s farm. The animal is clearly in distress, so Paddy rushes off to try and help.

The village vet is able to free the sheep from the fence, but then freezes in terror as an aggressive dog starts to approach. The animal belongs to new farmer, Celia, and clearly thinks that Paddy is trespassing onto his owner’s land.

Suddenly the angry dog launches itself at Paddy, sinking its razor-sharp teeth deep into his arm. Bear witnesses the terrifying attack and jumps out of the car to help his son.

Bear saves Paddy’s life

Bear is able to use his strength to overpower the dog and pull him off Paddy. But as Paddy slumps to the ground Bear sees the deep wounds on his arm. It’s clear his son is seriously hurt and in need of medical attention.

After arriving at hospital, Paddy is whisked straight to the operating theatre for emergency surgery. Mandy tries her best to comfort traumatised Bear, but all they can do is hope and pray Paddy pulls through.

Thankfully the surgery is successful and Paddy is beyond grateful for his father’s quick-thinking. He knows if it wasn’t for Bear then he may not have made it. But as Paddy expresses his heartfelt thanks to Bear, events take another horrible turn.

Angry Bear turns on Paddy in Emmerdale spoilers

Without warning, Bear suddenly erupts and uses Paddy’s life-threatening attack as an opportunity to malign his son’s character. Mandy can’t believe what she’s hearing and hustles Bear out of the room before he can do any more damage.

Paddy is deeply shaken by his father’s cruel words, and now amount of reassurance from Mandy can make it better.

As poor Paddy silently sobs he fears his relationship with Bear is now beyond repair. But what prompted Bear’s vicious outburst? And will he realise how much he’s hurt Paddy?
