Fast forward six years and Robert was released after new evidence came to light that put him in the clear. He returned to the village on a mission to win back Aaron’s love. But nothing has been plain sailing. Viewers have seen how hard Robert has found adjusting to life on the outside. He’s been haunted by vivid nightmares of the ordeal behind bars.
