He arrives at the surgery for an appointment with John, which leads to a violent encounter. But why is Owen back? And what is he up to? Owen had a sinister agenda with Robert (Credit: ITV) Robert’s spiker Owen has a sinister agenda in Emmerdale spoilers Viewers will remember that Owen was the guy Robert hooked up with a few weeks back in a bid to make ex Aaron jealous. The pair met up for a drink at the Hide, where Owen revealed he was from nearby Demdyke. The date progressed well as Robert and Owen shared a snog. But the newcomer’s sinister side was revealed when Robert nipped to the loo and Owen drugged his beer. John was conveniently nearby and saw the spiking take place. John warned Owen to do one, and it seemed this was the last we’d seen of the attempted rapist. So you can imagine John’s surprise when he arrives back on the scene. But as he arrives for work at the surgery he’s shocked to discover Owen waiting for an appointment with him. article continues below Read all the latest spoilers At once, John recognises him as Robert’s spiker, but it takes a while for Owen to realise who the medic is. When the penny does finally drop, Owen is shocked – and a little unnerved. Moments later, Robert walks past the surgery and witnesses John forcibly removing Owen from the building. Catching sight of his attacker again leaves the Sugden incredibly shaken and he thanks John for getting rid of him. But despite his gratitude, Robert still remains highly suspicious of his sibling. Fearful of what his guilty conscience might make him do, John picks up the phone and makes another call to the mental health helpline. Meanwhile, Dr Liam is surprised when he sees Owen’s name on his list of home call-outs. There has to be a reason why the sinister character has made a comeback.
