It’s been another week of drama in Emmerdale following Corriedale last week with twists, turns and clues galore – and there are plenty more to come as spoilers for the next few months reveal the drama isn’t going to stop.

This week on screen we saw Moira Dingle arrested after being framed by Joe Tate and Robert Sugden. The police do not believe she is innocent and things aren’t looking good for her.

Elsewhere, Ray’s body was discovered and the finger was pointing firmly at Jai Sharma. But half the village is looking increasingly suspect, so who really did it?

We already know from spoilers for Monday, January 19 to Friday, January 23 there’s plenty more drama to come as the soap airs a special flashback week revealing Ray’s killer.

Beyond this, we can also look forward to watching some big storylines finally reaching their end, some huge characters may be saying goodbye – and some other villagers getting a chance to shine.

1. Bear found and Paddy’s mental health crisis in Emmerdale spoilers

Despite Celia claiming to have killed him slowly and painfully, we haven’t actually seen Bear’s body. We’ve seen Ray sobbing in a doorway looking on at him. We saw a hand. We saw a pair of boots. But we haven’t seen Bear. And we don’t know if Ray got close enough to check whether he was breathing.

Laura Shaw also spoke about Bear’s disappearance saying: “While Paddy is still out searching for his missing father, the bleak truth is that Bear has been killed by the villainous Celia. This emotional search and tragic discovery will bring Paddy’s mental health problems back to the forefront.”

Although that sounds like Bear is definitely dead, many fans don’t believe it and insist it’s a red herring. We just hope they are right.

2. An exit for Victoria after John’s murder in Emmerdale spoilers

In the coming months we will be saying goodbye to the iconic Victoria Sugden. But in happier news, it’s not forever – as actress Isabel Hodgins announced she is expecting her first baby!

Isabel recently got married and so the whole thing is absolutely adorable. And she joins the many Emmerdale stars having babies recently.

It looks like we’re hurtling fast towards the exit as she has just admitted to killing her brother. But as Robert and Aaron scramble to help her cover it up, it’s been promised the secret won’t stay buried for long.

“The truth about John’s death will be revealed, as Victoria’s clever deception, making John’s death look like suicide, will unravel,” Laura Shaw said.

“Evil Joe Tate knows the truth and has damning video evidence which he plans to use to get what he wants from the Sugdens, potentially taking control of Butler’s Farm. Robert is also in the thick of it, trying to save Victoria by planting evidence.”

3. Charity’s secret explodes in Emmerdale spoilers

Mack knows the baby Charity is carrying may not actually be Sarah’s. What he doesn’t know is it could be Ross’. In fact, Mack thinks it’s his and in his desperation to become a father again, he wants the truth to be told.

Charity has so far persuaded him to keep it from Sarah so they can get a DNA test done before worrying her. Presumably she wants to fake these results too!

But she will not be successful in keeping her secret forever. “The truth surrounding Charity’s pregnancy is set to blow wide open,” Laura teased. “Mackenzie mistakenly believes he could be the baby’s father, but the secret that Ross is the real father is still under wraps.

“With the baby due in spring, the birth may be the event that finally exposes all of Charity’s secrets…”

4. Graham Foster’s return

Corriedale aired a particularly huge shock when Graham Foster, who had died six years ago, was seen alive and well. He had Corrie Shona’s sister Jodie tied up in the back of his van and was clearly working for someone. But who?

Graham then saw Joe Tate. He made a phone call saying he was terminating their contract as he had something else to deal with.

Laura has said: “A familiar face is returning to the village full-time! None other than Graham Foster will make a sensational comeback.

“His return will have massive repercussions for both Kim, with whom he shares a complex love and hate relationship, and Rhona, who was about to run away with him.

Graham will explain exactly what happened six years ago when he was ‘killed’, but the question will be whether Joe can ever forgive his father-figure for allowing him to believe he was dead.”

5. Dingle devastation in Emmerdale spoilers

Cain Dingle is set to be diagnosed with prostate cancer. Which couldn’t come at a worse possible time as Moira is arrested for human trafficking.

“The Dingle family are set to face huge repercussions and Cain is at the centre of a major prostate cancer storyline spanning across 2026,” Laura said.

“Adding to their devastation, Moira will be arrested for human trafficking, with her arrest timed to coincide with her husband’s diagnosis. Their complex marriage will be tested as they face dark times.”
